A 3D file is all you need to begin the process. Submit it through our website, email or call us at (586) 598-4636. Our experienced sales engineers will quickly put together a comprehensive interactive quote and manufacturability analysis. Then you can modify quantities, materials, surface finishes and more to find the perfect combination for your project and your budget – all updated in real time.
Got a complex design? Don’t worry. Our Advanced Mold Making System can handle it and we won’t ask you to change a thing. You can freely incorporate features into your part design that most mold manufacturers simply cannot do. We have also developed software to significantly increase the speed of the mold building process, reducing a typical mold build time of 6 to 12 weeks to just a few days.
"This was the first time we had designed and produced injection molded parts and the sales engineers made the process as painless as possible. Everything arrived on time and as expected."
Making your mold.
Once your design is finalized, we send it to our precision CNC department where our 3, 4, & 5-axis machines begin the milling process of your tool. After that, it goes to our EDM and Finishing department to complete the fine details. High-quality aluminum and steel blocks and our advanced machining process enable us to quickly and efficiently create your custom tooling. The mold is complete only when detailed inspections confirm that your tooling captures every last detail of your custom plastic parts.
That mold of yours? It also comes with a Lifetime Mold Guarantee. And we’re the only mold manufacturer who offers one. We will supply unlimited part quantities for the life of your project. It’s that simple.
Creating your part
When your tool is ready, we install it in one of our all-electric injection molding machines and your chosen material is loaded into the hopper. Now, our Proprietary Process Engine takes over. It’s the driving force behind our injection molding process, quickly analyzing key components to deliver quality, consistent, stress-free parts every single time.
So whether you are comparing service providers such as Icomold, Xometry, Proto Labs or offshore alternatives, you’ll discover that Xcentric is unmatched in custom injection molding with our ability to deliver simple to complex parts – with a combination of speed, quality and design – while remaining competitively priced.
Did you know?
Our 55 to 400-ton electric machines use 80% less energy than hydraulic machines and allow for a more controllable plastic injection process. This enables us to manufacture your parts with more consistency and at the best possible price.
