Mandate Halts Production
March 24, 2020
The State of Michigan has issued a Shelter in Place order effective 12:01am EDT on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 for all residents. The order requires Xcentric Mold & Engineering to halt production for the next 3 weeks. This action will affect your project in the following way:
- Active Projects: Any projects that were being actively injection molded on March 23 stopped at 4pm EDT and Xcentric shipped all completed orders at the end of the day. If your project could not be completed by 4pm EDT, it will be temporarily suspended until production is allowed to resume.
- Pending Projects: If your project had not yet started the injection molding process, a new completion date will be communicated to you when production resumes.
- Quoting Activities: Xcentric Sales Engineers will still be responding to your requests for quote with pricing and project guidance. They will not be able to provide estimates of project delivery until Xcentric is allowed to resume production.
Our commitment to you is to resume your project as soon as we are allowed by the government. Xcentric will provide updates as they become available. Please feel free to contact your Xcentric representative to discuss your project, understanding that directions from the government are subject to change at any time.
Xcentric will post weekly updates regarding our status on our website and more frequently when the situation changes. The company is working on providing delivery times for all open projects and we will communicate those once the government mandated order has been removed.
It is our sincere hope that you and your loved ones remain safe and healthy during this crisis. Together, we will get through this.
